After eight seasons, USA has decided to end its hit one hour comedy, Psych.

The series debuted in 2006 and has quietly done quite well for USA.  The show developed a very loyal following, attracting audiences on Friday nights for its first four seasons.  Over the past three seasons, USA has used the show in the winter season, forcing it to compete against strong broadcast competition.

There had been rumors this would be the final season of the series, which has aired 115 episodes, as of February 4, 2014.  With ratings hitting series lows over the past few episodes, USA has decided it was the right time to end the series.

The series finale will air Wednesday, March 26 at 9/8c, with a special after show immediately following.
