Round two is now over and its time to move forward once again.  The competition has been narrowed from a field of 16 to 8.  Here is some of what happened in Round Two:

*In what may be the most shocking upset, Survivor (#8) sent Dallas (#1) home, becoming the first number one seed to lose.  Survivor has now defeated both Dallas and Bonanza (#9) - pretty impressive.

*The second upset of the round was the defeat of Gunsmoke (#2) by Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In (#10).  The number ten seed has sent home Wagon Train (#7) and Gunsmoke to become one of the two double digit seeds to advance to the top eight.

*This weeks closest victory went to two match-ups: the previously mentioned Gunsmoke and Rowan and Martin's Laugh in (47%-53%) along with CSI (#6) and Dynasty (#3) (53-47%).

*This weeks most-lopsided victory also featured two match-ups: I Love Lucy (#1) and The Andy Griffith Show (#9) along with Friends (#11) and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire (#14).  The Friends victory makes it the second show to be a double digit seed to advance to the top eight.

*The left side of the bracket featured NO upsets (defined as a better seed losing to a worse seed), while the right side had a whopping THREE upsets.  The only show on the right to escape an upset was ER (#4).

Final vote percentage for Round Two:
I Love Lucy (#1) - 73% vs. The Andy Griffith Show (#9) - 27%
Laverne and Shirley (#5) - 33% vs. Seinfeld (#4) - 67%
Friends (#11) - 73% vs. Who Wants to Be a Millionaire (#14) - 27%
Cheers (#7) - 33% vs. All in the Family (#2) - 67%
Dallas (#1) - 40% vs. Survivor (#8) - 60%
American Idol (#5) - 33% vs. ER (#4) - 67%
CSI (#6) - 53% vs. Dynasty (#3) - 47%
Rowan and Martin's Laugh In (#10) - 53% vs. Gunsmoke (#2) - 47%

Fun facts for Round Three:
*I Love Lucy and Seinfeld have been named the top two best series of all time by TV Guide magazine, with Seinfeld taking the top spot.  Round three will send one of the two series home, who will it be?

*Each match-up features a CBS series vs. an NBC series.  CBS' series are the top seed in three of the match-ups, with NBC taking the top seed in only one.

*Five of the eight series aired at least one episode on Thursday nights.

ROUND 3 VOTING ENDS ON TUESDAY, JULY 31ST AT 4/3c
